Members to keep them ahead in the technology race.
The European Spring Federation (ESF) is a Federation of European
National Spring Associations. Its membership comprises National Spring
Associations of Austria, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy and
United Kingdom.
The objective of the Federation is to look after and further the
economic, professional and scientific interests of its members at
European and International level. In particular the organisation is
focusing on the following areas of interest.
Be a forum for the exchange of marketing information on manufacturers,
buyers and suppliers in the spring industry; Provide statistics on the
European spring industry and to monitor imports of springs from outside
Europe and the export of springs from Europe, as well as information on
sector growth, technology and market opportunities in the spring
industry; Obtain early information on and influence any EU decisions
affecting the spring industry; Negotiate research contracts from the EU
on behalf of the EU members of the ESF; Organise exhibitions, seminars,
fact finding missions, conferences and any other event of benefit to its
members; as well as joint research and technical development; Promote
and participate in standardisation relating to springs and spring
materials by co-ordinating its members efforts in this area, as well as
policies intended to enhance the profile of the European Spring
Industry.
The
Spring Manufacturers Institute (SMI) is an association of
manufacturers of precision mechanical springs and their associate
suppliers. The members of SMI work together to meet the key issues of
the industry worldwide: quality, materials, technology, government
regulations.
SMI
stands for serving, supporting and educating North American precision
spring manufacturers in their pursuit of competitiveness in world
markets. As the spring industry continues to mature, it faces challenges
from many sources. As each and every springmaker improves, so do the
strength and vitality of the industry. Like a chain, an industry is only
as strong as its weakest link. |
